My little girl started out as a shy one, since coming to these classes she has come out of her shell in such a positive way! And always look forward to her classes! We have just started private classes with Callum and she had already learnt so much in such a short amount of time! The coaches are so good with the kids and really spend the time needed till the little ones get it right. The staff are also lovely it makes for a great environment! Would highly recommend.
Fantastic place to train and a great community to be a part of! My son and I have been members for nearly 5 years. You always look forward to training because of the positive culture, club spirit and family vibes.

As a first time taekwondo student at 31, I was super nervous to start. I love the fact that the students and instructors are so warm and welcoming with myself but also my 4 yr old son who has been attending for a few months now. I look forward to achieving my personal goals within this awesome ATIMA family <3

Meet Midland Instructor Mark Aninon- here is his story- “Since I was a kid I grew up around martial arts. I grew up watching Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Chuck Norris, Jean Van Damme and more. I would make my own punching bags in our backyard. I grew up in Philippines and our finances were a bit tight so my mum can’t afford to put me in a martial arts gym. So I would go to taekwondo gyms and watch them from outside while copying the techniques that was being taught. Inside me I really wanted to learn. Then my dad brought us to Australia. I still had that passion and when I saw ATI martial arts Midland ,I begged my parents to enrol me. They were a bit hesitant because of the fees but in the end my dad said yes to it. Our house wasn’t that far so I came everyday on taekwondo and the rest was history. I got involved in competitions which boosted my fitness and my confidence. When I was doing competition I was one of the fittest in my school. Then an opportunity of teaching came and I took it. I learnt over the years that Taekwondo has really taught me how to be disciplined and patient. When I’m teaching kids I realised they are all different. Different types of learning, some you really have to teach them one on one and some by just showing. This taught me how to be patient and work some ways of different techniques of teaching. I found that you don’t have to change the technique of taekwondo to suit a student it’s the way you teach them. When I realised this I’m always thinking of different ways to teach the techniques and make it fun for them. I guess taekwondo has really pushed me to be a better person because as a taekwondo instructor you are a role model to the students.” We are proud of your you and your journey Mark and enjoy having you at our weekly instructor training.🥋
