ATI Martial Arts

ATI Martial Arts in Perth has more than 30 years of experience in martial arts instruction. With four full-time schools and 14 satellite branches throughout the Perth Metro Area, as well as in Broome and the Sunshine Coast, we are one of the biggest martial arts businesses in the country.

We provide a safe, disciplined, and inspirational environment for martial arts practitioners of all skill levels and age groups. Our instructors are all graduates of the ATI Martial Arts Certification Program. A big focus in our school is the safety training of children.  We specifically deal with child anti abduction skills, stranger danger and training children to be aware of danger and avoidance techniques to help them to protect themselves.  Child Abduction and stranger danger is a very important focus of our training and is one of the most crucial skills we pass on to our junior members.  For parents looking for a great Karate school to provide martial arts instruction. Look no further. Our Korean Karate and kickboxing classes are safe and friendly. We are sensitive to children of all types and even have special needs classes program.

Personal safety and Anti Abduction workshops are also taught as part of our curriculum.

ATI Martial Arts is expanding.  We are adding new training programs to our schools and our Joondalup Branch is expanding adding a whole new training floor.    On Saturday November 11th we are running an open day at our Joondalup School, with fun and games and a free trial or view of all of our programs.

Our new programs include: Women only Self Defence; Boxing classes for fitness or for the more serious; Jnr/Snr BJJ Classes; Jnr/Snr Kickboxing classes; Cardiobox Classes; as well as our usual Taekwondo and Little dragons programs.

Many of these classes allow parents to train whilst their children are in classes as well.  We pride ourselves on a safe fun and family environment and also cater for the serious competitor.

ATI Martial Arts Community

Meet 22-year-old Becky (Rebecca)Kaard.
Becky was diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in April of this year, when she fell over in hit her head while out with friends. AVM’s occur in the brain and Brain AVMs occur in less than one percent of the general population. This is something that is formed while in utero.

Earlier this year the doctors recommended that Becky have surgery to try and remove this effected area while she is still young.

Becky first attended ATI Martial Arts Claremont Women’s Only class to improve her fitness leading up to her surgery. Becky said, “I’m really bad at self-motivated exercises and I wanted to get my fitness up before surgery”. Becky would start her training at ATI Claremont and would use her training as an outlet through this tough and frustrating time.

Becky’s training would lead her to grading for her next level. As she had her surgery booked for the week of her grading, she would attend a private grading which unknowing to her all of her other female class mates would attend to support her as well as putting their money together and purchasing her a new pair of gloves singed by all of her classmates.

Becky is now three month’s post-surgery and is fighting fit. She is now is back training with the ladies at ATI Claremont and says “ I am blown away with the amount of support from the ladies and staff who have given me so much support and showed the genuinely care” Becky would like to keep progressing in her training but says she is happy just to be here and enjoying her training.
Her Instructor Keryn Robertson is so proud of her and all the ladies.
Bookings are now open for 2019 Womens Only martial Arts with ATI

  • Dear instructors

Just a quick note to say a big thankyou for the hard work and dedication you have all puyt into the ICP program. Having finally committed to doing this program, I have discovered a whole new journey which has only just begun. I am now enjoying Taekwondo even more than before. For the first time, I can now say that I understand the way in which you instruct and the reasons for the lessons taught in class. This has given me a whole new view of this martial arts and I now look even more forward to becoming and instructor myself one day. It has given me new focus and has encouraged me more than ever.

Please note that I would recommend that to all students who are serious about this martial arts, look at doing the ICP course at their earliest convenience. Even those students, who are not looking at instructing but weould like to get more out of this discipline, would be well advised to enrol too.

Than you all, it is a privilege to be part of this unique school.

  • Dear coaches, assistant coaches and staff:

Your assistance with Tulsa and myself during the tournament on the weekend was much appreciated . The high level of professionalism shown reflected the calibre of the coaching staff. For a mum with a young fighter the support and organization was great. The coaching given to Tulsa was exceptional. He has come away from the experience not defeated for not having won a medal but with the knowledge that he did his best. He is excited and ready to tackle the next tournament.

I believe you are doing a wonderful job keeping the children motivated and enthused in the sport.

Thank you again from Tulsa and myself!
